The non destructive testing ultrasonic method is a versatile means of examining a wide range of materials and constructions including GRP and carbon composites as well as metallic parts.
NDT inspections are carried out using aerospace grade flaw detection equipment using aerospace inspection procedures adapted to match the client’s needs and expectations of the industry and construction methods used. The equipment can detect disbonds and delaminations and provide evidence of inclusions, porosity and other discontinuities that could affect the performance of materials and components.
Ultrasonic testing for NDT can be employed at any stage in a part’s life however its effectiveness can be increased by inspections at an early stage providing a baseline for future comparison.
